“It is a huge privilege to work with entrepreneurs who understand the challenges and opportunities associated with taking a business from a set of ambitions to a reality.”

Each day is different, but the essence of my role is to find and invest in great businesses and in the people that make them a success. I have invested in many sectors over the years, but have a special affinity for healthcare, education and professional services – all areas where people and culture are at the heart of sustainable growth and success.

During my time at Livingbridge, I have had the privilege of working with a number of inspirational management teams – all looking to transform their markets through their passionate commitment to making a difference in their chosen sector. Standout examples include Witherslack, a leading provider of specialist education and care to children and Pathway Care, one of the early pioneers in the independent fostering market.

I have also had the pleasure of working with a number of founders over the years, who have taken risks to create their businesses from scratch and understand both the challenges and the rewards. A number of these founders have also taken their businesses into international markets and I am delighted to be working right now with two such teams, at YSC and Efficio, who have built impressive and successful operations outside the UK.

I have now spent nearly 20 years in private equity. This journey started with a nine-month secondment to Barclays Ventures in 1997 from the Barclays graduate scheme. Those nine months turned rapidly into four years, and in that time I developed my love of business and of working with individuals who are passionate about what they do. The opportunity to join Livingbridge fifteen years ago was simply an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Outside of work I enjoy walking, cycling and family time with my husband and son.
