“It is a huge privilege to work with entrepreneurs and leaders who are transforming and shaping their market and creating motivating cultures within their businesses. This can be inspiring and relentless in equal measure, and wonderful to be part of.”

No day is the same, but in essence my role is to build relationships with great businesses and the people that make them a success. I have invested in many sectors over the years, but have a special affinity for healthcare, social care, education and professional services – all areas where people and culture are at the heart of sustainable growth and success.

During my time at Livingbridge, I have invested in a number of such businesses, including Witherslack, Portman Dental, YSC and Efficio. I am also, today, actively involved in Helping Hands, one of the largest providers of homecare services to older adults in the UK.

I have now spent 25 years in private equity. This journey started with a nine-month secondment to Barclays Ventures in 1997 from the Barclays graduate scheme. Those nine months turned rapidly into four years, and in that time I developed my love of business and of working with individuals who are passionate about what they do. The opportunity to join Livingbridge twenty years ago was simply an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking and cycling, ideally in the Lake District, but more frequently in Richmond Park.
