The deal is being financed from Livingbridge’s Enterprise 2 fund which raised £220 million when it opened in October 2015.

Superbike was founded by entrepreneurs Scott Behrens and James Watson in 2010, as a digital-first business which combines retail and sourcing online with a physical showroom operation in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
The Group’s website, www.superbikefactory.co.uk, attracts more than 50,000 online visitors each month with its easy-to-use online stock list, finance options and direct-to-door delivery nationwide.
Superbike offers an extensive range of financing offers for its customers through its Superbikeloans.co.uk business, the UK’s leading finance broker in the motorcycle market, which has relationships with more than 300 UK dealers.
Alongside Superbike’s range of digital channels, its showroom, with a full suite of dealership facilities, enables it to store and display more than 500 bikes and acts as a hub for multiple inspections for every bike and a nationwide collection and delivery service.
The fast-growing company, which employs 89 skilled staff, has more than tripled sales in the last two years against the backdrop of a robust UK motorcycle market, with c.1.35m registered motorcycles and c.450,000 motorcycles changing hands during 2016.
Livingbridge’s investment will support Superbike’s plans to accelerate growth through the opening of a new site in the South of England, increased marketing initiatives, more opportunities for staff and providing new added value services for its loyal customer base.
The transaction adds to Livingbridge’s experience of working with high growth, online first businesses such as ticket aggregator Direct Ferries, online car rental platform Travel Jigsaw and online-only fast fashion retailer In The Style.
