He also brings experience from outside the sector, most notably at the pioneering bank First Direct.

This is a significant hire for the Group who have hit the headlines in the past few months for their acquisition strategy, high-profile appointments and new offices across the UK

Andy Fairchild commented:

“I am delighted to be joining Jensten Group. It has been a business that I’ve watched with interest for some time. It has a unique combination of the existing retail franchise network and an impressive product capability in the form of the wholesale and Lloyd’s cover holder operation.

Last year’s MBO and new ownership structure has clearly given the group a strong desire to deliver both organic growth and growth through acquisition. The shareholders and the existing management team clearly have a desire to build an operation with long-term credibility and real stature in the UK market place.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to play a leadership role in this journey.”
