Care Management Group is a leading provider of specialist residential care services for individuals with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and associated mental health needs.
Growing capacity organically and through acquisitions
- After Livingbridge invested in 2003, CMG acquired Ceres House which provided care and education for around 30 children and adults with severe physical and learning disabilities and complex health needs. This was provided in five residential homes.
- CMG acquired CCA which provided residential care for around 30 adults with a range of learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. This represented CMG’s first investment in South Wales. According to Michael Buckingham, CEO, “The clear and highly supportive backing of Livingbridge was a significant feature in getting these acquisitions to completion.”
“Six private equity houses were interested in this deal. I chose Livingbridge because they wanted to work closely with us to build the business. Their genuine interest in, and empathy for, the business when they visited our homes impressed me.”
