“I love working at Livingbridge because I get a kick out of helping businesses reach their full potential.”
I spend a lot of my time meeting new businesses and assessing whether there is an opportunity for Livingbridge to invest. My main area of focus is the financial services sector and I always enjoy meeting entrepreneurs who find innovative ways of doing things better. I am based in Livingbridge’s London office, live in Leeds and work all over the country.
The highlight of my career so far was exiting our investment in Frank Recruitment Group. This was the first investment I had taken all the way from the beginning to a successful sale. It was a pleasure and a privilege to support the superb management team in building a genuine global leader in its field.
After graduating from Oxford University, I trained as an accountant and then spent 13 years as a corporate finance advisor with Societe Generale and latterly KPMG. I eventually decided that it was time to stop advising and start doing, and joined Livingbridge. I had worked with the team as an adviser and liked the people and their approach to deal making, which is both thoughtful and entrepreneurial.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis with my wife. I have three children, so don’t have a huge amount of time to myself, but I am trying to improve my bridge standard from hopeless to average.
