“The variety, challenge and opportunity to learn I get from meeting hundreds of small businesses every year makes this job great fun and consistently rewarding”
I am responsible for managing all the quoted market investment activity on behalf of our clients. I spend a significant amount of my time meeting with the management teams of existing and prospective investee companies.
One of the many relationships I’ve enjoyed building whilst at Livingbridge was with the management of Netcall, a provider of customer engagement software and services, which started in an advisory capacity when I worked at Evolution. Netcall was a small company, whose management I always held in high regard, I maintained contact when I joined Livingbridge and monitored the company’s progress. The relationship moved on when the company needed equity funding to make the strategic acquisition of Telephonetics during 2010. We acted as a cornerstone investor in the deal which, together with further investments through the market, enabled us to become the largest investor in the company. I remain closely engaged with the board on strategic issues. We remain a committed shareholder and optimistic about the company’s prospects.
I graduated from Oxford before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. I then moved into equity research with Commerzbank and then Evolution Securities where I built a sector expertise in telecoms and technology and knowledge of large and small listed companies and corporate transactions.
I used to travel far afield, climb mountains, play golf, go snowboarding, play guitar in a band and try my hand as a part time DJ. These days with three young children, I find my time outside work filled with activities closer to home!
