What you thought you knew about small-caps might be wrong

In his FE Trustnet article, Rob Langston discusses how small-caps have out-performed and seen less volatility than their large-cap peers.

As well as analysing the lower-than-expected volatility from small cap stocks, Rob spoke to Fund Manager Ken Wotton about how Mifid II may affect the small-cap market and how it may advantage firms that are able to conduct their own research and identify potential investments.

Commenting on Mifid II, Ken says "as the regulation will likely lead to less insight and research, investors considering smaller quoted companies will be faced with less information to aid investment decisions.”
