Baker of remarkable biscuits

Founded in 1916, Thomas J Fudge’s originally delivered freshly baked bread to the West Country farming community by horse and cart. Today, the company’s biscuits, crackers and florentines are stocked by supermarkets including Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer, as well as retailers like Fortnum & Mason and Harvey Nichols.

When we first came across the business, it was still run by the Fudge family 100 years on. We backed Paul Vita and Vickie Best, who worked with Fudge’s as commercial and operations directors, to take over the business as joint managing directors. With our investment and their ability to bake remarkable biscuits Thomas J Fudge’s aims to establish itself as the UK’s No. 1 premium biscuit brand.
