Centre4 Testing is a specialist provider of software testing services that helps its clients to manage the significant risks involved with software implementations, upgrades and integration, proving system functionality or performance.
Centre4 Testing provides services to address multiple client needs from full-service consultancy and execution requirements (its OnTrack service line) through to fast and flexible resourcing solutions using a database of over 10,000 professional UK-based testers (OnSite). The business also offers an innovative fully-managed, secure and highly scalable crowd-sourced testing service (its OnDemand “Cloud Testers” service) for clients who need to know how their mobile and website applications function in the real world, across devices, browsers and operating systems.
With offices in London and Brighton, Centre4 Testing has supported over 250 clients across the UK. Clients range from large scale public sector and banking programmes to successful mid-market organisations such as British Car Auctions, RS Components and professional services firms including lawyers Norton Rose Fulbright, whose quality assurance project with Centre4 Testing was nominated as finalist in the European Software Testing Awards 2013 “British Computer Society Best Overall Project”. Cutting-edge digital media and e-commerce projects use the company’s Cloud Testers service, with clients including J Walter Thompson & SOMO, the award winning mobile and connected solutions company. Centre4 Testing also partners with leading international software tools vendors SOASTA, TestPlant, SmartBear and Hewlett Packard to provide blended tools/services solutions to mutual clients.
The business was founded in 2004 by Tony Wells (CEO) and Ryan Hannigan (Head of Sales). Wells and Hannigan previously worked together at Mission Testing, a software testing business co-founded by Wells which was listed on AIM and later sold to Capita. Centre4 Testing has grown rapidly in recent years, numbering some 185 staff and test consultants and reaching sales of c.£16m in FY14/15.
The investment by Livingbridge will support the business as it continues to scale and add further specialist services enabling it to cover all aspects of the testing lifecycle.
The Livingbridge team was lead by Paul Morris, Jennifer Stratton and Mo Aneese and Livingbridge will be represented on the board.

Past performance and risk of loss of capital
The past performance of the funds is not a guide to their future performance. The value of the funds depends on the performance of the underlying assets. The value of the investment and dividend stream from the funds can rise and fall. Investors may get back less than originally invested. There can be no guarantee that investment objectives of any of the funds will be achieved.
Risks inherent in investing in small companies
Investment in smaller companies which are traded on AIM or PLUS Markets, by its nature, involves a higher degree of risk than investment in larger companies, including those traded on the main market. In particular, smaller companies often have limited product lines, markets or financial resources and may be dependent for their management on a smaller number of key individuals. In addition, the market for shares in smaller companies is often less liquid than that for shares in larger companies, bringing with it potential difficulties in acquiring, valuing and disposing of such shares. Investments held by the funds may be difficult to realise. The fact that a share is traded on AIM or PLUS-Markets does not guarantee its liquidity. The spread between the buying and selling price of such shares may be wide and thus the price used for valuation may not be achievable.
