Martin Audio designs, manufactures and distributes loudspeaker systems for the touring and installed markets, such as theatres, stadiums, cinemas, bars and nightclubs. The company has a long established reputation in its markets providing sound systems for use by bands such as Pink Floyd, Texas and the Stereophonics, with other projects including Leeds United FC stadium, the Excel Exhibition centre, the Ministry of Sound and Fabric nightclubs. Improving sales, staff and sound quality
- During investment the business consistently grew profitably, exceeding the shareholders’ objectives. Turnover increased from £10m to £15m during the four year investment, and staff numbers increased from 40 to 60.
- Product innovation has kept Martin Audio at the forefront of technology advances, and this was supported by investment in sales and marketing.
- Martin Audio was sold to US based LOUD technologies in 2007, one of the world’s largest and most highly regarded professional audio and music products companies.
